why would you want to put a 351 in your car?? You can do sooo much with that 4.6.

The K-members are interchangeable on all the cars '79-present, so you can put any motor that you could put in a Fox in a newer Stang too. The 4.6 is a huge engine, so the SN95s have more room than a Fox in the engine compartment anyway.

The 4.6L is the widest of all the ford mustang engines. It is 4 inches wider than the 460 cid according to MM&FF.

Maybe not, but you could I believe that the 99 S351 was the only year the new platform had a windsor powered engine.

Heehee Cam that would be cool wouldnt it !!!! If anyone knows anything about Saleens I have another quick question. Why is the S281E (My dream Car) Is faster than the S351??? Is it because the Screw type supercharger that makes all the difference???

Thanks,
Karen

The S351 produced 495 HP while the S281E @ 425 HP

Why would the S281E be faster? Maybe suspension set up? Weight?

When cars have that much horsepower the 1/4 mile is all in the launch. Depending on the driver you could see as much as a second or two difference with the same car. With equal traction the S351 should win a drag rage - the centrifugal blower makes more top end (although the twin screw charger on the S281E is very impressive).

S-281E S-351
12.83/108.13 12.623/119.54
12.78/109.4 (26x9 M/T Slicks) 11.504/122.58 (26x10 M/T Slicks)

Numbers by December 1999 MM&FF (S-351) and January 2002 MM&FF (S-281E). The S-351 is almost a second faster. Just felt like adding my 2 cents. Have a good day.

That did not come out right. Let me try it again.

S-281E
12.83/108.13
12.78/109.4 (26x9 M/T Slicks)

S-351
12.623/119.54
11.504/122.58 (26x10 M/T Slicks)

Numbers by December 1999 MM&FF (S-351) and January 2002 MM&FF (S-281E). The S-351 is more than a second faster in the 1/4 mile. Just felt like adding my 2 cents. Have a good day.
