Default Air con question

I just completely recharged my air con system...it's still not cooling like it used to. What can it be? Any ideas? Is there some kind of filter on a 92 that can be replaced to improve air flow?

did you recharge it with R132a? If so, it will won't get as cold as the old R12.

Yeah. a couple of years back I had something plugged up and I had the system converted to the new r-132. That really sucks...why even have air con if it doesn't cool like it used to?

Because your system was designed to operate on R-12. The Mustang air conditioner will not cool properly on R-134 unless you make some changes in the system.

I had the work done at Firestone. Do they have any idea what they are doing?

Probably not done right. They probably just took out the R-12 and stuck in R-134. Go here for Mustang A/C Conversion to R-134 which is about the same as yours.

My '89 need new seals, but I'm going to keep using R-12. I'm going to order the new seals and replace them this winter, evacuate the system, put in new oil and freon. Be just like new.
