Default Fuel Pump Problems?

I just installed a new 190 fuel pump and now my stang feels like it wants to stall at idle speed. I also have a severe loss of power? Could I be loosing fuel pressure in a line that I put on? Could that be the problem? HELP PLEASE?

Another idea I had! Could the fuel relay under the seat be going bad? Could it slowly go out or would it be instant?

the fuel relay when it goes bad switches on or off, which means full pressure or none at all.

Cool That may be it

You may be bleeding off pressure . the fuel P solenoid is under your driver seat . you need a pressure gage ( I have one that you can have ) it hooks onto your schrader valve on your passenger side fuel line ( you remove the schrader (tire valve ) and install it ( you need the elbow ) . I trying to figure this out . Have you let it run ( idle ) for 30 mins . and i would just sit next to the stang after shut down an just listen ,, quietly to hear anything .. Sorry

I will try pressure testing it this weekend! When I was re-assembling my hoses to the filter and pump, I could not help but think that the factory cuplings ( the ones with the white clips) that slip onto the filter and pump did not seem like they were very tight? Should I cut the factory cuplings off and replace them with a clamp instead? A clamp would seem more secure. Maybe I am loosing preasure from those? What do you think?

Also, on a intake fuel pump the power wires are in the tank. Right! Does this not seem kind of dangerous. If the gas were to touch those wires would they not ignite the gas and expode? I just thought that was a scary place to have those wires.

Default yes you are right !

The couplings that hold the lines on to the fuel filter,do seem chintzy ( but they seal tight under pressure) I cannot see why you can't use hose clamps! that was a" for ease in removal of the fuel filter " Another ,,is It really a ford better idea
