Question Seatbelt

This might be a dumb question with no answer, but I thought I'd give it a shot. I know in the 01 and 02 mustangs if you don't put your seat belt on the car dings at you. Is there a way around this, or a cheap solution? I know it's the law, but if you're just sittin, talkin, etc. in your car, it's very annoying. Thought someone might be annoyed as well.

Thanks~ Jill

Jill,

Easy fix. There is a relay behind your center center console. Looking at your pedals(gas), look to your right. You have to be down by the floor while looking(its a pain in the arse). While the door is open, locate the (should be white or black) relay. Pull it out and there will be no more chiming noise. I'm not that familiar with the 99 and up models, but my guess is that they are the same as our 94-98 models. The best way to find it is to listen to where its coming from, if you get your hands back in there, you should be able to feels the vibration coming from the relay. Disconnect it. Hope this helps you out.
