Default convertible spring rates?

Do any convertible owners out there have lowering springs? If so, are they supposed to be a different rate than the coupes/hatches due to the extra weight? A friend of mine said steeda asked if he was a convertible when he ordered his. I ordered the motorsport super sport springs, and the website did not ask me for spring rates. Am I going to run into problems?

well the springs I got are motorsport springs 650 lb/in rate. Is this sufficient? Are there other attributes about the springs that may make them correct or incorrect for a convertible. Any convertible running springs, speak up! Thanks
