Default o/r h-pipe passing inspection?

I have an off-road h-pipe on my car and my sticker recently expired. I live in Massachusetts and this year all I have is the standard inspection meaning no emissions because I had them last year. Will my car pass inspection with an o/r pipe on it considering the fact that I do not have emissions this year?

Default o.r pipes

considering you live in mass. i think you may be out of luck as they are sticklers for this at inspection time. i live in new hampshire & we curently have no emissions & i have o/r pipes also & i sweat it evertime, ive just got lucky i guess or these are curently not required to pass insp.

You're screwed. They do a visual under the car. They usually dont open the hood, but they definatley look under, especially if it has a nice throaty sound.

There's an open-minded russian dude in kushing square in belmont across from the cvs who has passed me and my mom's cars for 8 years.

If you think that the car would pass anyway, just weld a pair of those heat shields around the pipe to make it look like a cat.

I have a Mac 2-cat h-pipe that I could put on my car... But would I still fail? I heard that you need all 4 cats to pass.

Chris, if you have a 2 cat h-pipe your all set in MA. Its just a pain to swap it in the weather! Go to Auto Werks on Pasco rd, their pretty flexiable about the little things.
