I have an 84 mustang with t-tops. I had a buddy tell me he saw where you could convert a t-top car to a solid roof by switching the doors and cuting off the roof and replacing it with a soild one. Is this possible? What are the disadvantages of a t-top drag car?

I don't think its worth the time and trouble. I think it would be cheaper to but a solid roof car to begin with. Hey, why don't you just sell me the t-top car instead?

i would just leave it, probably not worth it. as long as you tie the frame up, and put a at least a 6pt roll bar in it. t-tops arent going to matter.

I think there are plenty of people that would like a T-top car, trade or sell it.

With a cage, those T-Tops still rattle, leak and wistle! My friend has a 85 GT and he has a cage and it still does rattles, but not as bad as before. You would be better off to sell it for a hard top, rather than convert it, unless you have everything you needed and you were a bodyman and you had some time on your hands. Also just to let you know, you will have to get different doors cause the T-Tops have no frame atop of the door as compared to the hardtop doors.
