rear end swap question
I haven't been successful in finding a reputable person in my area to do an install of gears. SO- wondering about going to junkyard and getting another 8.8 out of a fox GT or something. (I need 3.08 or 2.73, and currently run 3.55's). I seem to recall one for $200 (much cheaper than $225 gears + $300 install)
What is the average cost of an 8.8 and what are the dangers of doing a swap (other than me grabbing an 8.8 with 4.11's or something)? If you're wondering WHY IS HE DOING THIS??? I'm going to Germany for awhile and need the top end to keep up on the autobahn. Rob
