Default engine stand

I finally got my engine out and secured on my stand.I bought a new stand rated at 1000 lbs. and it was cheaper than I expected.($49.00)I know many engines have been built on a stand but my question is are there any precautions I should take to insure this thing stays put.I have been wrenching on this thing and it appears to hold well but it sways like crazy.I am curious if these 4 bolts will actually support my 331 replacement (with all the bolt- ons attatched)I bought this stand at a local tool shop called Harbor Freight Tools and I am not sure what brand it is.Are all stands the same are is there one better that I should look for.I am finally getting deep in this project and get ready for many questions as I am learning as I go.I will post some pics of my mess later today. Thanks for any help in advance

I have seen 514 long blocks sitting on engine stands rated at 1000 lbs. I'm not saying I would have done it, but it's been done. I feel sure that your 331 will be more than fine on it.

I really was not worried about it tipping as much as I am about these 4 little bolts holding.I also was worried as the stand had no actual brand name and I am learning the hard way that you get what you pay for.I bought some 3 inch bolts at auto zone to attatch the motor to stand and I think they are just standard bolts.I am wondering if there are some special ultra strong bolts or something I need. This motor is going to be taken apart by me just to learn the basics so it is really just a spare motor.I may order a quality stand for my 331 replacement.Any ideas if one stand is better than another or am I just worried for nothing?
