Question Edelbrock Head Problem?

I had my heads brought into the machine shop yesterday and my machinist took one look at them and said they suffer from "Edelbrock Syndrome" referring to the valve seats not seating the valves properly from the factory causing a leak. There was a couple of leaks. I've talked to a few guys from around here and out of 5, 3 had the same problem. When I talked to my local parts guy, he said that he's heard of it, and its not uncommon.

Anyone out there have this problem? I know the solution is just get a 3 angle valve job but I'd like to know if anyone else knew of this or have heard of something like it.
