Angry They shipped my bumper in bubble wrap!!!

I orderd a new bumper cover from 50resto monday. I got it today and it wasnt even in a box!! It was just bubble wrapped! Of course as you would expect its broken and scuffed all over. The louvers on both sides of the bottom opening are cracked almost all the way through. I'm pissed.

You would think for 50 bucks worth of shipping, they would put the stupid thing in a BOX!!

Has this happened to anyone else?

Damn that blows. I've had a bumper cover shipped to me like that, but it was from a personal sale, and it actually came to me in good shape.

Have you contacted the company yet?

I used to order from 50resto but my order wouldn't show up for 8-10 days and parts would be missing/damaged. I ordered a power steering pump from them and when I got it (10 days later), the little nipple on the bottom was broken off.

Needless to say, they lost my business.

That's so f*cking annoying. I bought a built up trans off ebay (700R4), it was coming from a shop in florida. I nid on it on a friday and asked if he could get it out on monday so I would have a car to get to work sooner. After a bunch of b.s./waiting on e-mails and a tracking number that didn't show it getting sent out until about 3 weeks later. Then it finally comes, it was falling out of the cardboard/fabric chunk it was wrapped up in, but whatever. Then I notice part of hte bellhousing where a bolt hole used to be was broken off. I got to send it back then wait another 2 weeks to get another one sent out even though a new one was supposed to get out the day after I got the first one. I finally got it and it works pretty good/shifts hard but he never sent me a tag so I could send back my core to get $150 back. Real *****n a*shole!

Hi everyone! I was browsing the posts and came across this one. I wanted to take a few moments to shed some light on the issues brought up by a few people. The bumper covers are shipped by UPS. As crazy as it sounds, if we put them in a box big enough to ship them, UPS says it is too big and won't ship it out. The only way we can do it is by bubble wrapping the covers. The other alternative would be to box them up and ship them by truck freight, but you are looking at a $115 freight charge in the continental US. Within the past few months, UPS has also applied a $50 surcharge on all bumper covers. Unfortunately, we have to pass this cost along to the customer.

***93blkGTfun*** I believe we replaced your bumper cover already. If not, please contact me at your earliest conveinence.

***Coupe Devil*** Did you buy 3 covers from us?

***Stang_Crazy*** I think I remember speaking to you and we replaced the power steering pump for you. I would like to speak to you personally though about any other issues you might have with our company. Please contact me when you get a chance!

As a side note, if anyone ever has a problem with our company or it's services, PLEASE CONTACT ME PERSONALLY SO WE CAN GET THE ISSUE RESOLVED! We take great pride in our customer service, especially after the sale. If you have an issue with us and do not let us know, you are not doing justice to yourself and our company. Thanks for your time and have a great day!

Yeah, I have bought from them and had stuff screwed up too. I hate to say it but they are no better on the customer service aspect of it either. I hope they are better in your case than they where for me. Good Luck !

Question

Well to give CSA-50RESTO credit, i've never seen a company go around on web boards and make sure people are happy with their order.....i've never heard of your company but i'll atleast check your web site out.
I'd say the worst shippers are Jegs racing....everything is just thrown in a box with nothing to baffle it, everything i order is usually falling out of the box after it's been delivered by ace ventura (remember the start of the move.... .....ok bad joke)

Sup, Mike.

Yes, LRS has some of the best customer service around, from what I have seen.

I sold a bumper cover on ebay a few weeks ago. I put it in a box to ship it, and UPS said it was too big. The box fit the cover perfectly, so I went online to print out a label and had to lie about the dimensions to get them to ship it

Anyways, LRS has always done a great job on everything I have ever seen.
