Default suspension

I helped my brother drop his S10 this weekend, anyway, nothing would come apart all the bolts were rusted frozen and it was a mess. It is a '98 with only 40,000 miles!

My question is, should I expect this when I redo my whole suspension which is 12 years old with 108,000 miles?

Oh for those interested, here's a before and after of the truck....
