Question Factory '89 GT Rims w/Rear Disc Conversion

Will I have a problem using my stock '89GT Rims when I do my 4-lug, rear disc brake conversion this summer. I have new 17" rims that I'll be using, but I have almost new tires on my original rims and would like to use them for winter driving. Thanks in advance for the info.
