				 | Valvetrain Question I have a 306 w/ AFR185's. I am running a .560" lift cam. I had my "machine work guy" check assembled height, valve clearance, pushrod lenght etc. He said it all was great! I have put about 200 miles on the new motor. The other day, I had some serious valvetrain chatter. I pulled the valve covers and found the intake pushrod almost out from underneath the roller rocker. The perma-loc was finger loose. I am guessing that I missed one when tightening them up? My question is this, I am running a stock length pushrod (6.25"). Do you think that this sounds right? AFR, along with most other aftermarket head companies, recommends a little longer pushrod. I would like some input on what you might recommend. Thanks Brent |
