![]() pretty pathetic really. Put a rusty stick driver (2 years!) with a mustang with a hotstart problem(had to keep it running), and you can guess how bad the times were. Here goes
2.169 6.301 9.560 75.12 14.650 97.62 Didnt get a chance to tinker with it at all, due to the starting prob. I know I can get another.3 out of it from just my driving. Heres the combo 86 GT with stock shortblock, stock cam, rockers, lifters etc... ported milled E7TE's, Explorer intake, speed density (88 computer), 65mm TB, 1 5/8 long tubes, off road H pipe, flows, T5 and 4.10s. I think this hunk of junk is holding out on me. The mph sucks. Maybe with some tuning I will find it. Is it just me, or does the times indicate that it picked up after the 1/8th? My other time looked identical to this. Let me know what you think... ------------------ 86GT bastard car w/83front,91 glass, 92 LX taillights, and a pile of parts stock 86shortblock, stock cam, ported E7TEs, longtubes, and an attitude 93 Taurus SHO (stock) jojo@gibralter.net |

![]() well, considering my first ever mustang I had was a 88GT, and I got that running 9.56 at 77mph bone stock, and my fist year driving at all (16)-this is bad. Now this is my 5th mustang, and Ive had several combos, from expensive(canfield headed stroker) to basement budget(my current project). I know this thing has the ability to run in the 13.5s. BTW, I did get that first mustang down to 88@83mph in the 1/8th with a stock longblock, stock suspension, 3.55s, and street tires. I am getting the electrical prob fixed today, and I hope to go back this week for test and tune to see what its got. Guess its time to brake out the old Hoosiers too.

![]() well, went to TnT...The weather was slightly better, as my first run was made with no changes from the last time I ran. Here it is
60ft-2.2 ET 14.3 MPH 98 My shifting is getting better, but I blew the 60ft all night(mental thing) I decided it was time for a tuning change, now that I had a baseline. Decided to up the fuel PSI from 38 to 40. Here is what happened... 60ft-2.2 ET 14.0 MPH 100.83 Wow...looking better now. Decided to try a little more Fuel, so went from 40 to 42...next run I fell back to 14.2@99. That was all I had achance to make(rice was clogging the track up) A couple of weeks I will be back, with subframes welded in and 4cyl springs up front...we will see...13.5s here I come. What do you guys think? possible??? |
