I dont want any one part to kill my set-up. The heads I used on my 5.0 are a little large for a 302 so I figured I would be better off to use a cobra intake rather than a holley systemax or something of that sort. I chose the cobra upper to go on my stage 2 ported lower intake in an effort to keep a good amount of low end torque.

My car feels really fast but I am beginning to wonder if I should cut my cobra upper intake in half and have it ported or send it off to get hone extruded. I am also toying around with mabe throwing a comp polymers box upper intake on there. So many choices ![]()

No thanks on the Comp box unless it's a race/high RPM only engine.

For the cost of cutting, porting, and welding the upper, I wouldn't bother...but that's just me. There are easier ways to find 15 horsepower. |

This weekend I will cut and port my upper. I will also shorten each runner 1". Do it your self and if you need it welded I can have it done for free.
