![]() I have a GT-40 intake and it has a plug on the front of it on the flange just behind the EGR spacer. Could this be used for a nitrous hookup? Or should I put it somewhere else?
Also, what's a good all around kit to get and what extras should I get to go along with it and not break my wallet? Thanks. ------------------ Gunning for 12's! ![]() My Stang Page Buy your parts here ICQ# 42269241 |

![]() I think you would be very happy with a stage 1 NOS kit and a bottle heater. The heater is not manditory, but it's nice.
You could put the hose there, but you would need a funky sized brass bushing to make it work. I would just follow the kit instructions. |

![]() Well your going to throw a little giggle gas on now huh? I guess you have your problems figured out? Well my buddy just got the ZEX kit and I like it, really nice simple install and it seems to be the safest kit out there only letting enough N2O in due to bottle pressure etc... He got the adjustable kit for @ $550 through Summit, 75hp-125hp. Kev- why not use the boss on the C&L 76mm? Not sure about the intake deal, but if it does happen to explode/backfire in the intake I have seen the GT40 tubes swell and crack, but that is most likely with a WET system not the dry. The DRY systems are more for the beginner....

![]() I have a Top Gun GT 40 plate kit and I am very happy with it. I dont know much about nitrous, but I like the fact that the mixture does not flow through the upper intake. I think you will be satisfied with about any kit that you buy. The difference for me is the tech support I get from them. I can call up there any time of the day and talk with the guy who designed my system. (i had them build be a 2 stage) They are the coolest/nicest people to talk to. They claim (like everybody does) that they get more power out of their kits versus their competitors. I have heard people say that you might only get 40hp out of a 50 horse jet. I am going to be dynoing my kit in the next couple of weeks so we'll see. Like I said earlier, I dont know much about nitrous, but I have seen posts here in the last few weeks recommending dry kits for the beginners. Why is that? I thought the wet kits were the safest. Does it have to do with making sure you choose the right fuel jet, or what? I would really like to know your guys' opinions. thanks
