![]() My Tremec TKO-II is grinding when going in reverse.
If i shift to fifth gear [beceause of the synchros], I can not go into reverse. I always have to go into reverse from neutral. The clutch is adjustable at the firewall and the shifter is a Pro 5.0 The King Cobra clutch engages about 0.5 to 1 inch when depressed. Sometimes there is grinding from 2nd to 3rd gear at high RPM... it feels like it's still in gear when pushing to 3rd gear, shifting normally. I feel i'm not getting enough grip so i'll give the Centerforce dual-friction clutch a try but in a few weeks. I'll change the tranny oil as well. In the meantime, how do i adjust the clutch so that it will stop grinding. BTW- Anyone heard of this tranny oil? http://performanceunlimited.com/cobr...ltrashift.html Got the info from the Club Cobra forum. |
