Default 8.8 t-lock tricks

How is it going everyone. I am rebuilding the traction lock in my 8.8 and someone was telling me that itstead of putting the cluthe pack in (friction steel steel friction steel steel friction) to put them in (friction steel friction steel friction steel friction) and thing changing the shims to make it work. I was wondering what the best way to do a traction lock. i have a new rebuild kit with all new clutches and everything. I want the best know way what arrangement of cluthes and what shims to use.

HERE's how I rebuild them. 4 clutches on each side and one less steel spacer. I've stopped using the friction modifier, too. Did the last few with no modifier and they've got many thousand miles each with no issues. I always soak the clutches in gear oil overnight. I've switched to Lucas 80W90 for all my differentials. Most any quality gear oil will work. If your kit doesn't have 8 new clutches, pick the best 2 from the originals and reuse them. Did that a few times until I found the kits with 8 on eBay. I forget who I've been getting them from on there, but the price is right and he's gets them here quickly.
