![]() I just noticed that when I open the radiator cap with the car running, I don't notice water flowing. It's hard to tell (car shakes alot). Could this be that I have no thermostat? and it is flowing with less pressure. everthing is new. "which does not mean much". Also when I started it, the level seemed to go down. So that tells me the water pump is working right? I can't leave the thing run real long because the neighborhood will most likely get pissed. (open longtubes).

![]() Yes your water pump is working right. You said everything is new. Did you not put a thermostat in it?

![]() I didn't put in a thermostat but I'm going too. It's the correct rev rotation pump and the pulley is turning it the right way. it just didn't seem right. The only other thing is.. I capped off the water pump port that goes to the heater core. I don't have a heater. the intake is a victor jr and the port for the heater hose to intake has a temp sensor. just upper and lower rad hoses and the bypass hose. Did I screw that up......or is that OK?

![]() You are fine the way you have it. Put a thermostat or a reducer plate in there. Running without the thermostat does not allow the water to stay in the radiator long enough. I'd put a 180 in it. If the one you get doesn't have a bleeder hole in it, drill one in it. A 1/8" hole is plenty big.
