![]() I am planning on getting some aluminum heads soon for my 79 Pace Car. I was thinking of getting Edelbrock Performer heads but am not sure which valve size I should go with. I plan on putting a 100 shot of NOS on soon too, so I was thinking of 2.02/1.60, but I don't want to kill my low end when I am running off the bottle.
I have the original 302 bored .030 over with the Edelbrock Performer intake and matching camshaft and 600cfm carburetor. I have BBK 1-5/8" equal length shorties, 2-1/2" h-pipe with cats, and 2-1/2" Flowmaster 2-chamber catback. The car runs strong, and the thing idles like it has a lumpy can even though the Edelbrock setup is smog legal. I haven't had it to the track yet, but judging from some street races, I would guess that it runs high 13s right now even with the suspension set up for handling. |
