I have a MSD Digital 6 plus on my car and am running a 125hp wet shot on the car. How much timing retard should i take out on my MSD when the nitrous is on??? I have heard take out anywhere from 2 degrees on the box up to 6.5 degrees!!! Does my MSD retard the initial or advanced timing??? Suggestions??? I run 14 degrees inital timing off the juice.

14 sounds ok, but the rule of thumb is 2 degrees for every 50 hp. The MSD will retard the current timing setting. Usually the retard boxes take out those many degrees per lb of boost, not sure about the retard function with a NOS on the MSD box.

the general rule of thumb is 2* per 50hp jetting, so this would be 5* for your 125hp shot.

My buddy ran the same setup, he pulled out 6* to be safe, but then he had to install a nitrous delay after nearly blowing his intake off the car
