Default starting/drivetrain problem

I have a 289 4 speed 65 and I get a click when I try to start it. The car has been sitting for 1.5 years but before that I went through and replaced the starter solonoid, and the car ran great. I just bought a new battery so the battery is fine.

I thought maybe it was stuck and the started couldnt turn(12 volts at the starter when I turn the key) so I jacked up the rear end put it in gear and turned the back wheels. The driveshaft doesn't rotate at all, and the engine isn't turning either(no superise really).

What could the problem be?

Thanks,

Don
