![]() I have a 302 V8 from A 79 Ford Fairmont futura which I am installing to my 65 Mustang.I have replace the front sump oil pan, motor mounts and the water pump to fit ont the 65. A person told me I had to replace the timing chain covers in oder to make it fit. Does it require that timing chain coer to be removed? if so why?. What other modifications do I need to make it fit and operate properly on this car. This engine is equiped with electronic distributor, but I was thinking of changing it to a regular point type distrbutor and putting a Petronix system on it in order to avoid altering the original wiring conections. Any advise gentlemen?
Does anyone know or have have have any sites of stock or performance enigines of 64-66 Mustangs. I would gladly like to see your engine shots. Thanks appreciate any respenses. ------------------ Moises Plasencia |
