![]() I recently aquired a cam(new in box), the specs are .460/.460 .288/.288. What kind of gains should I feel with it and will a Performer intake work well with it? Will this cam work for street/strip applications? I plan on putting it into a early 302 motor I have laying around. The block is .030 over with aftermarket pistons/rods. Early closed chamber heads that have 1.94/1.60 valves, and a Holley 600 (1850s)vac. sec. I'm going to run a C-4 with 2000 stall and 3.73 butt gears. I plan on it being a driver. Thanks for the help guys!!!

![]() The specs of that cam are similar to the E303 cam from FMS. It has a bit more lift, but it is about the same. If it's performance is comparable it should be a pretty good combo. The E-bok comes out a bit ahead of a GT-40 on the upper end, and I know a guy that runs an E303 with the Gt-40, and it's pretty potent...street yes...strip ??

![]() Sounds like what I plan to put together make work pretty well, but what kind of shift points should I expect? Do you guys think the Performer will be enough manifold or should I go ahead and pick up a Performer RPM. What kind of RPM range will I be looking at? My guess is 1500 - 5000. What do you guys think? Let me know!!

![]() My friend never Dyno'd, or ran his car...in fact he blew the motor last year, and I'm still trying to find time to put it together. The Edelbrock is a great intake, I had one b4 I switched to carb, you have the added luxury of porting it out later if needed. It will serve your purposes for this setup at least.
I know my friend got at least an extra 1000 usable rpm with the E303, and at WOT his trans shifted at 6200..(non stock) Rob |
