Default oil pan differances?

I have a 74 302 in my car. The oil pan was on it when I got the car, and after my recent wreck, it is dented and going to be replaced. My local Body/mechanic shop is acting like the 74-78 oil pans are hard to find. I believe a 289-302 1965-1973 era oil pan should work just fine.

I think the block is out of a thunderbird maybe....but can think of no clearance issues with using the earlier era pans. Any effects on the oil pump area encountered?
thanks,
Ryan
I think all of the mods that could effect it are in my signature.....if not, I do have long tube headers....but they should be no where near that area.
