Building a motor for NO2
Hey guys! First off I got rid of an 86 5.0 conv about 4 years ago... now I finally have the job and the ability to build one better. I know quite a bit about the 86-93 and plan to get another in the spring (wifey wants a 4runner!). My last one had 3.55's, h-pipe,world class tranny, headers (1 5/8 equal), pulleys, airbox mods with K&N, B&M ripper- jeez I miss that car!
My question is, for a person who has never dealt with nitrous, what is the simplest set up, and what kind of cam/pistons/heads/intake would you guys use. I can put about $500 every month or so, and I want a high 12 or low 13 sec car. We have an 1/8 mile track here, and my best in my old one was a 9.5sec @ 74??i think... TOO SLOW for all the $$ I put into it, and lost! Thanx, Strype |
