![]() Possible TPS problem. Not sure with those symptoms.I know there is a big general problem with V-8 fords of the Mid and Late 80's, possibly into the 90's, not sure.That problem is; "When you start the car,whether it's warm or not, the Engine will "flash"to 2,500 or so and then back to a normal type idle".Mine does it. I have checked vacuum, so that's not it.I have set my TPS from .7--1.4 volts. It doesn't change the problem with my engine.I have it set at .98 V at this time which is the number I hear and read is best.Sorry, I can't helpya.
