![]() Put the pump on without the shaft, and put the shaft in from above (thru the distributor).
Pull the distributor: Mark where the rotor starts on the base-cap (bottom 1/2 of the plastic distributor cap). As you pull up and out, the gears will rotate the rotor... Mark the base-cap where the rotor stops, as you eeeease out the dristributor straight up. THat way when you install, you can align it in reverse, begin at the end, and slip the distributor down, and it shoudl fall into place at the start mark was.
