![]() I know what you're going through Sky, The H-pipe can be a real PITA!! The easiest way I found to do it (which still wasn't easy) was to unbolt the headers from the heads, and then bolt them to the H-pipe and then wrestle with each side and get the first and last bolts connecting the headers started. After that you're fine.
When I tried to just connect the pipe to the headers while they were still on the heads, I would get all done with it, and then fire it up and it would leak at the flange(s), so then I'd have to start over again. I wound up cutting both my hangers too and it didn't really help as much as I hoped it would. I'm not sure which way you're trying to do it. The last time I did this, I was SERIOUSLY considering just going to an exhaust shop and asking for straight dual exhaust!!
