The best way to do this is with an impact wrench, whether it be air or electric. In step by step:
Take the alternator off. Use the impact with the correct socket size. Hold the pulley with you other hand. (be sure the impact is going the right direction cause this can hurt) It should spin right off. Like the great (yeah right) haynes manual would say: Installation is the reverse of the removal That is how I have always done it. It is too easy not to do it that way.
