I started skating when I was about 13 or 14. Toward the end of middle school and the beginning of high school, a bunch of my friends and I would play pond hockey all the time after school. We played right behind my house on my canal, which was about 250 ft long and about 100 ft wide, so there was plenty of room and plenty to shovel. The rink always shrunk as the winter went on.
Occasionally, about 10 of us would rent the local rink for hour and play there when the weather was too warm. I just signed up for an IM league at my college, but we haven't started yet. And of course........GO RED WINGS!!!!
