![]() I've installed two ('93 Cobra & 87 GT w/ Cobra rear valance) Magnaflow after-converter systems to date, both of which were the LX style systems with the 3" stainless tips and mufflers. The rest of the system is aluminized steel 2.5" mandrel bent tubing.... regardless, they are very nice systems with a great sound! I ran a pair of stainless, 2.5" Magnaflows w/ turn downs on my car for awhile and loved the sound they produced!
Their mufflers are essentially the same as the stainless Dynomax Ultra Flo mufflers that I first ran on my car, back in the day (one of the first mods I did to my car actually). The only obvious difference being that the Dynomax muffs have the rolled seams vs. the higher quality welded seams. Some of you are thinking "what about the Ultra Flo welded mufflers", but they have a thicker, wider case and offer a slightly different exhaust note over the other two muffs mentioned, and they are only available in an aluminized config. Anyhow.... It's my opinion that Magnaflow makes a quality product, with a much preferred sound compared to the notorious (that was once pretty cool) sound of the Flowmaster, that 9 out of 10 Mustangs have anyhow, lol ![]() ![]() |
