![]() I know you have to measure the proper amount of backlash and get the ring and pinion mesh correct. I doubt very much a place like Firestone has the proper tools to do the job.
It is not a job for the average person to do. You are better off taking it to a place that does that and has people there that have done it before and know how to do it. I am not saying YOU COULDN'T do it but I am just telling you what I was always told.
