![]() If I'm not mistaken the check oil light is for oil level, not pressure. The oil pressure gauge is for pressure. It may just be a bad sensor in the pan. Either that or your engine is all sludged up.
Try checking your oil when it is doing this to see if that is the case. Check your oil after it has set for awhile then start it up and shut it back off after a few minutes and check it again. Keep checking it to see how fast the oil gets back to the normal level. If your oil isn't draining back into the pan quick enough it should be easy enough to see on the dipstick.
