RAGE_5.0:
I vote for the GT convertible. An old Capri with a gigantic engine and a chassis set up for the strip will not be very practical for cruising around town, I assure you. The cost of gas, alone, will kill you, not to mention hassles you get such as loading up the plugs and potential cooling and charging problems while trying to drive a race car on the street. No A/C, uncomfortable seat and ride are all part of the mix. A race car isn't meant for street cruising and a street car doesn't do what a race car does on the track, so you have to make a choice as to what you want most; To cruise - or to race? The GT convertible will be a lot more fun and certainly more useful in the long run, even if it doesn't turn 10's and leave huge plumes of smoking rubber at every light. I would go for it. |
