Even blown, on 302's the box intakes are for a high rpm range (4500-7000). They work well on stroked 351's when used in conjunction with a GT-40 lower because the large cube motors don't need runner length for torque and need short runners for 6K rpm breathing. Even then, better performance can be found in the TFS 351 intake.
For an inexpensive, high flowing stock-type intake, the TFS Street Heat is great and costs $400 for upper and lower.
