The differences between an Mustang dyno and a DynoJet:

- An MD uses eddy current to create a load on the roller based on the vehicle calibration done for each car while on the dyno. This simulates the road load a vehicle experiences drving down the street or the track.
- A dynojet is a free spinning roller, it dervives its horsepower number from calculations based on roller speed.
- An MD has several different features to aid tuning that I don't believe a dynojet has. (constant load, full 1/4 mile simulations...etc.)
- Our particular model MD is rated up to 1750 RWHP. I think a dynojet can only handle 1000??? (Not sure, but I don't think its as high)
- Usually we have found that dynojet calculations are around 10% higher than an MD, but since every dyno varies, its difficult to tell.
