Well...actually, I have read several articles in mm&ff and 5.0 mustang, as well as have talked to Tom, head of D.S.S. racing. They all say the 347 has oil problems, premature wear, etc. However, all articles that I have read say that the 331 stroker is a good engine that you can put high miles on. I talked to Tom @ DSS before I ordered my 331, which is being built now, and he said that the 331 and the 306 use the same ring package, so you don't really have to worry about premature wear and b/c of that and the fact that it uses a shorter rod ratio than a 347, you can put high miles on it and it will be a dependable motor for a daily driver. just passing on info....josh
