Water is the chemical result from a perfectly running engine, after passing through the cats. Puddles under your exhaust tips is normal when cold. However, after the engine warms up, the heat in the pipes evaporates it all. If you are still seeing puddles under the exhaust tips after the engine has been running for 30 minutes, there may be a problem.
Pressure test your cooling system just before doing the compression test, with the spark plugs removed. If water is getting into a cylinder, you will see it get spit out of the spark plug hole when you are cranking the engine for the compression test. Take care, -Chris
