You will probably have better luck with this question in the windsor forum. If I remember right, the 302 HO came out in 84. Could have been a bit earlier, not sure. Intially it was just a higher HP version of the 302 I think. By 87 it was a fuel injected, roller cam motor. If I was looking for a 302 I would try to find one of these just for the roller cam. I am sure others can tell you vastly more than I can about these motors. I don't know how you tell if you have an HO or not, but I beleive all v8 mustangs after 87 came only with the HO (except for a few rare proformance packages, eg. saleen 351.)
