Been there....done that!! I have a 4 cyl. T-5 in my garage with a busted up cluster gear as a result of that.
I you drive like grandma then it will work ok for you. Obviously, I didn't drive like grandma. I think the driveshaft lengths are slightly different in the 4 and 8 cyl. cars.
