I am not sure if the swap is posible I am sure it is if you have alot of money.


but just to let you know are you wanting to do this cause you want better gas milage or for more power. your 289 would put out just as much if not more power then A 5.0 if it was rebuilt. and your engine just might be getting bad gas milage cause it needs work. like A rebuild or somthing ells. could be a number of things. I think the stock 2v 289 were supposed to get around 18 miles per gallon.


as long as you know that and still want to swap engine then go for it. I would even do the t5 trans no matter what engine you go with.
