I've found that what Jeff says is true. I used the same spacer and it works great. If you've had non-Ford gears in there, then I can probably tell you how to do it later tonight when I find an article on the subject. In the mean time, measure the head of the pinion gear. That measurement will be needed to calculate the pinion depth.
