I have noticed that too.. The parts list usually reads.

94-95 --Ok Price
96-97 -- Ok Price
98 -- Bend Over while we stick it to you
99-01 Ok Price

When ever I find parts for my car, the 98, seems to cost about 20-30% more, and it's the only year that seems to show up by itself. Whatever they did to gain the extra 10HP over the 96-97 most have done something. Maybe it's just a sick joke for those of us sitting on the border of two body styles and didn't wait for th 99's.....
