			 Weight of an 87 is 2834lbs.  You could start losing weight by relocating the battery, using aluminum pulleys, driveshaft, heads, rearend, etc.  However, don't worry, your car is not that heavy to begin with. 			 The weight of an 87 5.0 LX hatchback should be closer to 3150 pounds.  My 89 5.0 LX hatch weighted right around 3200 with half a tank of gas.  It has since gained weight with the addition of blower and hardware, blowsheild, and roll cage + it still has iron heads(gt40).  4 weeks ago it came in at 3410. 			 Maybe that weight posted is for the stripo 4cyl version coupe. A GT weighs just a shade over 3200 and I heard they only weigh about 80lbs. more than the LX hatch.
