Sometimes the 5/16 bolt that holds the cross shaft in place is a b**ch to remove. Make sure to use a box end wrench (not an open end) to prevent from rounding the bolt head. If it doesn't want to turn, heat the area with a small torch, and then try again. If you round the head, you're done for the day. This happened while I was trying to redo the cluctches on my Lightning. Send me a private message if this happens and I'll tell you what we had to do
