I don't know about the Goodyears sucking as far as blowouts, then again, I've only had the 2002 for a while.

What irks me a little is why Ford would continue to use the same tires on the GT's as the 1985GT came standard with. I mean, Hello!! Tire technology has advanced in the last 20 years, and the Eagle is a mediocre performance tire in dry now, and it's horrible in all other circumstances. There is a difference in diameter between the two sizes. It's about 0.05" I'm serious by the way. For all practical purposes, they are the same size.
