It's a big deal. You have to buy the whole assembly which includes that separator. It's likely that the part won't be in stock, either. You have to pull your center console, as well. Mine is currently broken. It broke after I fixed it once already so I just used wire ties to secure it. I will fix it again when I redo my brakes.
