ive seen stuff from the parts store that "supposedly" helps you pass emissions. use some of that or some octane booster and give it a good run up and down the highway a few miles then bring it in. thats what my buddy did. his 88 has no cats and well over 200,000 miles on it and he passed. that was before our wonderfull new inpection though.....give it a try anyway and good luck!!!!!
